This month's featured non-profit is Mother of Light Center, a Del Ray-based, volunteer-run organization that provides food, clothing and household items to those in need in our community and offers several community programs for vulnerable families, including a support group for single mothers, and Reach for the Stars after-school program. Learn more at motheroflightcenter.com. Needed items include boxed facial tissues, large pink erasers, 24-ct. Crayola crayons, Expo dry erase markers, (4-pack, low-odor, chisel tip), pencils, small purple Elmer's glue sticks, 12" rulers, 12 ct. Crayola pre-sharpened colored pencils, blunt-tip scissors, wide-ruled spiral notebooks, pocket folders, highlighters, and Clorox disinfecting wipes for their back-to-school supply drive. Donations can be dropped off at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square on Thursday from 6pm to dusk.
